It has the pads from the mid-60s overhaul (domed metal resonaters) and now the bell and bow pads at least need to be replaced. If this was relacquered at that time it was done very expertly; the engraving is still highly defined. I bought a new SKB 450 case for it that hasn't left the shop. It's light weight, sturdy and fits well.I cleaned the sax and there are no bad odors. It comes with a newish brass receiver plug. It has a good original neck that has small dings, otherwise undamaged.
It looks like it was never pulled down. The neck tenon is smooth and true. The body tube and bell body are straight and the bell to body brace hasn't been pushed in. The bell rim and bell body are excellent.
The bow has 2 small dents in the bottom. One Eb keyguard foot has been cleanly resoldered. This is the only resolder. There are small dings in the body here and there, nothing major. The pearls and rollers are all original and good. Some custom touches that are removable: - a larger G# touchpiece out of Lexan finished to match pearls - custom Teak wood left thumb rest - Lexan strap-hook ring relocator I also have a fresh Music Medic. Seamless domed metal resonators custom ordered for this sax that I will include for the person who buys it for the asking price. This is a sweet horn for the right person. I've got too many irons in the fire to finish it myself. Looking for a good home for this tenor.
