Silver plated B&S - Blue Label - Tenor Saxophone - with accessories and Selmer contoured hard case. Made in Germany, estimated around 1970-80's.
Big, meaty sound, plenty of power. I've been playing this until recently as a backup tenor in a big band and a saxophone quartet, whilst my favourite 30's Martin was having an overhaul - but at 70+ the time has come for a'lifestyle audit', so thinning out the collection in favour of the couple of vintage Martin tenors that I'll still have left....
Good condition, obviously with normal wear and a few scratches, but nothing extreme. Plays quite well, and was in excellent tune with the other big band instruments.
Might even still be on the original pads. The case has a very sensibly sized external'pod' for all your bits, and I noticed that the rubber tag on the bottom half of one of the zip pulls is missing - pictured - doesn't really affect using the zip. Will be supplied with a barely played original B&S #6 mouthpiece - it actually plays quite well - plus new lig, cap, sling - and even a reed or two if required. Please let me know if reeds needed, and I'll see what cane ones I've still got - I've mostly moved across to Fibracell synthetic. Packed in a stout cardboard box with plenty of padding.
