Conn Constellation (Shooting Star) Tenor Saxophone (1968) - Made in USA. I bought this sax from the original owner that bought it new in 1968. The sax was bought for him to use in the High School Band. He played it for one year and then it spent the next 48 years in the closet and never played. I bought it from him and then played it for two years in our community band, then I bought me a new pro tenor sax and I now do not use this horn.It was one of the last horns made in the US by Conn before manufacturing was moved to Mexico. It has shooting stars engraved on it and also has USA engraved on it. It is in excellent shape showing a little ware on the finish. All the pads are original except for 5 pads I had replaced. It plays well and would be a great horn for a beginner through advanced player. Comes with the original case, a mouth piece, one reed and ligature. It does not have a strap.
It is a great horn and is in better shape than any other non-refurbished horn out there. It needs a new home.
