Custom VITO Tenor Sax in Very Good Condition. It's been a while since I've had the time to do one of these, but here it is. This Vito came to me in fair playing condition with aweful cosmetics.

Plenty of dents and dings, scuffs and scratches; so I went to work. I first disassembled it, then worked on the imperfections, lightly sanded it, masked area for brass highlights, primed it, and then painted it with metallic paint. A clear coat was later added for appearance and durability. Unfortunately, I was not able to get all of the denting out, so there remained some small dimples here and there, one being on the neck (see pic #9). I polished the keys, but they still show a little wear.

After all of this, I reassembled the sax, cleaned it, and adjusted it for leaks. This Vito does play very well from top to bottom on very good pads and springs with the original Vito Melodica tenor mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is included but is chipped on the end that meets the neck cork (does not affect performance). It's usable, but not exactly my choice (I'm partial to metal Bergs and Runyons).

On the bell you will see a gold emblem. I put this on all the horns that I redo; it's an inverted Ukranian Trident symbol.

This is the second Vito that I have redone (the first was the fluorescent Tiger Tenor) and I've found the Vito's are like Conns when it comes to being a solid horn... I researched the serial number on this horn but could not determine if it is Japanese, Taiwanese, or French. Let me know if you find any more info on the horn. This special Vito tenor comes with a new microfiber polishing cloth, cork grease, a new neck strap, the Vito Melodica mouthpiece w/ligature, cap, and Rico Plasticover reed, and a very nice Vito/Yamaha case. I also replaced the thumb rest with a new one.

A really neat horn for any collection. SHIPS TO THE LOWER 48 STATES OF THE UNITED STATES.
