Rare Vintage 1952 Conn Silver 10M Naked Lady Tenor Saxophone w/ Original Case. On offer today - A rare silver Conn 10M tenor saxophone with a burnished gold-washed bell and original case. The serial number is 350xxx which dates it to 1952. This is an early 10M model, famous for the bell engraving of a semi-nude woman; known as the "Naked Lady".It is a lovely sounding horn. G Conn company gave a choice of the finish at an extra cost: lacquer, silver-plate, silver-plate with gold-plated bell and all burnished gold-plate. Due to the extra cost only very few were ordered, I have only seen three other original silver-plated 10M horns in my many years of experience. This tenor has been well looked after and is in great condition. The silver-plate is in super condition with the bell engraving crisp and clear and the inner gold-washed bell just looks simply beautiful. All the original pearl pinky rollers are there without any chips to them. It has its original lyre and comes with its original hard case. This tenor saxophone has a great sound it has had new pads put in - but will need minor regulating after transit to be in tip top playing condition so please bear this in mind.
The case is nice and sturdy with functioning latches. Berkeley cases, mouthpieces, and many vintage U.A altos, tenors, and baritones. Will be securely wrapped for posting.
