1951 Selmer Paris Sba Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone New Pads & Corks Wow

This tenor sax has received a complete professional mechanical overhaul with an ultrasonic cleaning, all new Selmer style leather pads with plastic dome resonators installed, all new corks, all new felts and all keys have been swedged to factory specs. There are NO patches and NO major dents present. This tenor saxophone has scratches throughout from normal use and lacquer wear is noticeable, with approximately 75% of the lacquer intact(most likely this has been professionally re-lacquered at some time and the existing lacquer may not be original). There is noticeable engraving detail on the bell, bow and the matching body/neck serial number is in the lower 47, xxx range, which dates the year of manufacture to 1951.

Included is a non-original somewhat used zippered Selmer wood shell trey pack case(interior is sound and both compartment closure lids/snaps are intact, leather exterior trim/covering is worn, has two case handles, the zipper is functional but is showing age with two pull tabs intact and may need to repaired in the near future, has room to hold a clarinet in one compartment, the neck in the other comparment and a flute case in the case top, case has older storage smell) and a granadilla wood body end plug.
