I could only have hoped that when I was in Junior High and I said I wanted to take up the saxophone that my parents went out and bought me one of these to learn on.. Versus the beat to heck secondhand Cleveland sax I got. This was bought new, played for one year of Junior High band and then put away in the closet. It still has what looks to be the original pads which are in great shape.

There is a leak on the lower stack when playing D but I believe it just needs an adjustment and honestly I did not want to take my leak light out and mess with it as I fear I will just end up keeping this beast and... I have way to many tenors. The rest of the keys play well and this has some really nice tone. Very few minor scratches and I did notice the bell on the bottom right side has a small crease that would easily come out but I did not want to touch it. From my friend who is an expert on Selmer saxophones.

These horns were in direct competition with the super action 80 Selmer Paris and Yamaha 62s. These is one of the last of the great "American" manufactured saxophones. They feel, play and sound almost identical to the Selmer mark vi.
