The 30M's are a fairly rare/premium Conn pre-WWII Tenor, and include sterling silver key touches on all non-mother of pearl keys. Action on the 30M is good and the horn plays from low Bb to High F. The pads seal decently and have flat metal resonators with rivets and feel more stout than the usual Conn Reso-Pad & snap back accordingly. The horn is in decent regulation but please budget for any needed adjustment/personalization to taste.
The horn itself has been re-lacquered/buffed, though the original engraving is still evident. The horn has some minor dings, dimples and evidence of past dent work, especially on the outer part of the bow. Definitely a "player's horn", but the body and key work is in good shape overall without any obvious re-solder work. The neck is an original 30M neck and seals well to the body with recent cork. The horn comes in a very nice light, contoured GL Clamshell style zippered case that provides good protection and a non-original lacquered metal body cap. Play testing/personal inspection of the horn if you are "local" to New Mexico is encouraged.
