Up for your consideration is a. Conn New Wonder II also known as "Chu Berry" tenor sax. Which puts it built in 1927.
There is one slight dent in the Guard on the bottom of the bow see photo the rest of the body is dent free. Very rare for a horn this age. The lacquer is worn off neck its bare brass now but the rest of the instrument has a nice aged dark lacquer.Neck has no pull down and it has a foam rubber neck cork I put on to test play. It will need a repad to be in best playing condition in my opinion. All keys function no bent rods or keys this would be a very easy rebuild again in my opinion. Body is very straight, there is evidence of some solder work but work has held up well over time. Generally, in very good condition for a sax a 97 year old Conn Tenor Sax.
The classic sound this old Conn can produce is well worth the effort bringing it back into good playing condition. Bell Engraving is crisp and clear and the metal show no sign of buffing.
