Exceptional 1978 Selmer Mark VII Tenor Sax Saxophone w/Case Amazing Horn! This is an Exceptional 1978 Selmer Mark VII Tenor Sax. It is in Amazing condition! The horn has been completely serviced and plays perfectly! This is a one owner horn, they received the horn when they started college, but switched out of the music program after the first semester. The horn was always cared for and babied. The pads are perfect and there are no signs of any damage or repairs. Now let's talk tone!

This horn is a Monster! I brought in a top sax player who compared it to his Mark VI and his Conn 10M.

He was skeptical at first, but the more he played it the more he loved it! This is his description: The sax has a very rich smooth tone. It is darker then expected yet it brings strong volume even in the lower register. The intonation is dead on. It plays effortlessly and really growls when you push it hard. It is much closer to the sound and feel of my VI and I would gladly play this horn on any gig. That said I think this is a wonderful opportunity to own an amazing Selmer Tenor at a very reasonable price. It includes the custom case and a beautiful Eugene Rousseau 4R mouthpiece.
