Wow, what a great find. Being offered is this King Super 20 Silver Sonic Saxophone in the original case. I always suggest replacing pads on older saxophones and having adjustments made to suite yourself. I have no clue if the pads do need replaced but they look used and possibly original or at least have a number of uses on them. Cosmetically, this is in great looking condition. Some surface scratches or mild crazing on the backside of the neck. I see a few small blemishes here or there.
The worse scratches a few deeper scratches are on the curved piece leading up to the neck. The bell is marked Sterling Bell. I don't see any markings on the neck.
SN 397800 should date it to approx 1962? The mouthpiece is marked King.
I think it is the original king mouthpiece that came with it. I so see some marks scuffs and perhaps bite marks on the mouthpiece and one of the reed screws is missing. Has the original neck strap and case.
I don't know what the wooden spring knobs are for but I see there are 3 of the knobs, not sure if there should be more or not. You will also receive a number of reeds.
