Kohlert Star Bb Silver Plated Tenor Saxophone SN:24821 Nice- Playing well through some leaks on older pads on offer. Silver plate coverage is 90%+ and there is only one obvious ding/minor denton the bow-see photos. I don't see any obvious resolders and the burnished silver bell and keys will shine up nicely, if desired. The rest of the body, including engraving is nicely finished in a frost/satin (sand blast) style silver plate.

The neck has one ding but shows little to no plating wear/pull down or resolders and fits snugly to the body receiver. The German made Kohlert Star Bb Tenor horn, likely dating from the 1930's, has rolled tone holes and Buescher style neck "moon" bracing.

Not surprisingly, the horn plays with the booming sound of a New Wonder Conn or pre WWII Martin. If you are comfortable with the left hand pinky table from a later Martin Split Bell Handcraft/Indiana or Buescher True Tone then this horn will feel very familiar.

Like earlier Handcraft/True Tone horns, there is no front F. The listing includes the Kohlert Star Body/Neck/Billet Body Cap and likely original case that is functional (one latch spring in non-functional) and in decent physical shape (see photos).
