Unfortunately it is was gold brass and, being an artist, this just didn't look right for a nickel body tenor, so I decided to give it a patriotic look. The neck was lightly sanded, primed, and painted a blue metallic. The octave key, as you can see, went red.The small eagle decal and the turquoise accent were added before clear coating the neck. Then the star was epoxied on. Sadly, a couple dings remain on the right side of the neck (pic #1 & #5). The body is absolutely beautiful with no dents, scuffs, or scratches; only a blemish on the inside of the front bell lip (hard to see in the pictures).
Red accents and the large American eagle were added and can be removed if you desire. I did clean and adjust the sax, and the pads, felts, corking, and springs are in great condition. It plays very good from top to bottom with a full, resonating tone on the included Rico Royal Grafonite A7 Mouthpiece. The case is in very good condition with just the front storage zipper broken. This "American Beauty" comes with the original case, a new microfiber polishing cloth, a neckstrap, cork grease, a new black octave key protector cap, a set of black palm key risers, and the Rico A7 mouthpiece w/ligature, cap, and Rico Plasticover reed.
