Selmer 1974 Mark VI Tenor Saxophone Orig. Case and PM Woodwind Brass Resonators
This is a 1974 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, serial number 224305, with original lacquer, original neck, and original case in great playing condition. These handmade oversized solid brass resonators are the highest quality and, being brass like the rest of the sax, give the horn maximum clarity, resonance, and projection. They were custom made precisely 2 to 3 millimeters from the edge of the tone holes on the sax, allowing for the maximum amount of brass surface reflection inside the body of the sax. In addition, these resonators are reusable since they are screw back, so this optimal resonator setup can remain the same whenever a pad needs to be replaced.
The original lacquer is roughly 50% intact, give or take, from years of use. This horn has been well cared for. The body and neck are in excellent condition and the horn plays and sounds great. Please review the pictures to see the condition of the horn in detail.
