Selmer Paris Mark VI Tenor Saxophone. This Mark VI tenor is a real jewel of a saxophone. Circa-1969, this horn is a real player's horn. 70-75% original lacquer, this horn blows super free and has the rich, classic, resonant tone and sound that made the Mark VI the epitome of tenor saxophones for decades now. The action is tight and fast.
The horn is very responsive and the intonation is good. The horn has newer pads and has been regulated to playing perfection by my repairman. This horn is one of the special ones from the era. The brass is a lighter color, more "blonde" if you will. This is a Paris fabricated horn, not a Selmer USA assembled horn.
As an endorsing artist with Selmer Paris / Conn Selmer, I can vouch for this incredible horn. I have played upwards of over 1000 Mark VI tenors over my career and this is one of the special ones. As most know, the Mark VI horns were handmade, thus making them very inconsistent.
This one is a killer! Resonant, in tune, fast action and just sings throughout the entire range of the horn.If you are interested in my music, search Mark Fox Jazz and I'll come right up.
