This incredible Selmer Paris Reference 36 tenor is a real player's horn. The Reference 36 is modeled after the classic Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) and in my professional opinion, is a far superior horn to the Ref. This horn sings from bottom to way into the altissimo registers with a focused and resonant tone and impeccable intonation. The breadth of color and tonal possibilities are endless with this horn. The action and response of this horn is incredible as well. The horn has been recently regulated for professional playing. Pads, corks, felts and springs all are in very good shape with lots of life left in them all. As a Selmer Paris / Conn-Selmer endorsing artist, I can vouch for this horn professionally speaking.
