SPENCER Tenor Sax in Very Good Playing Condition. This horn has been cleaned and adjusted. It plays nicely from top to bottom with very good springs and pads. The Brilhart Ebolin mouthpiece contributes a lively projecting sound and even range. It's drawbacks are cosmetic: compressed, resoldered post (see pic #5), missing a small key guard above the thumb rest (see pic #9), crease in bell (see pic #6), and a dent on the top, front of the bow (see pic #10). None of these affect playing performance. It does show a few dings (pic # 1) and some scratches. The case is sturdy and clean, but has a crack in the upper right corner (see pic #11). Above, in the listing, I mentioned that I believe this Spencer is a Vito Stencil. I happened to be working on a Vito tenor when this horn arrived. The first thing I noticed was the octave key on the neck and then the neck itself, identical.

Next was the octave mechanism on the body, the same. Palm keys, Pinky keys, Thumb rest, and the Key Guards are all the same. So I rest my case.

But if someone out there knows better, please let me know. This nice Spencer Tenor comes with the case, new pad saver, cork grease, vintage Brilhart Ebolin mouthpiece w/plasticover reed, ligature and cap, and a neckstrap. SHIPS TO THE LOWER 48 STATED OF THE UNITED STATES. NOTE: Just looked over a Jupiter STS-787 Tenor Sax with a similar construct. Most likely all (the Vito, Jupiter, and Spencer) came out of the same Taiwanese factory.
