Vintage Conn Chu Berry 1928 Tenor Saxophone Nice Vintage Case -VERY PRETTY SAX

1928 Conn "Chu Berry" Tenor Saxophone - with vintage Conn case. These Conn Chu Berry's are fantastic saxophones. They have many of the defining features of the famous Conn 10M, like rolled tone holes for instance, but are still quite unique in their own way.

They have a beautiful, lush tone while still being extremely powerful when pushed hard. These vintage Conn tenors are really a joy to play. This particular example was produced in 1928 and is just a beautiful example.

The engraving on the bell is the simple style engraving of the period which reads: Made By C. Conn LTD, Elkhart, IN USA. This sax appears to have been relacquered many years ago, but the job was done extremely well. The finish looks great, very clean and even. Please look at the photos, this saxophone is very beautiful, especially in the sunlight. The body of the sax appears to be nice and straight. I see several small dings and scratches in various areas of the sax, but nothing major at all. This sax has survived very well for its age! Neck has no pull down and looks very nice. The pads are older but are still in good shape.

Overall the condition of this horn is really great, please see the photos! This sax has spent the last 20+ years in storage, thus I would recommend that the new owner gets the saxophone fully adjusted and serviced prior to active playing. This sax comes with a vintage Conn case that shows some signs of wear but is still in good shape. Please remember this is a vintage saxophone, so wear and tear during a lifetime of playing is to be expected.
