Vintage Silver Series 1 King Zephyr Tenor Sax #188975 Completely Overhauled
Vintage 1930's Silver Series 1 King Zephyr Tenor Sax #188975 Completely Overhauled! Up for sale is a stunning mint condition series 1 King Zephyr tenor saxophone. It has been completely overhauled and has essentially 99.9% of its silver and lacquer finish remaining. The pads are about as close to brand new as they come. This horn was only played a couple times after its overhaul and then it sat in the case. I hand polished as much as I could do and it looks amazing.

You will see there is some very light tarnish under the keys in the hard to reach spots. Those would clean up very easily just like the rest of the horn. If you look at the bow guard, there is some excess solder maybe?

I'm not totally sure but it could probably be cleaned up if you wanted to do that. It's very minor but I wanted to mention it. Now for the fun stuff.

This horn is from the late 30's and is a work of art. It has a gorgeous art deco engraving on the bell and has a lovely two tone finish with a silver plated body and lacquered keys. It has the triple neck ring and the sleeve style neck. It is worth noting that it does have a replacement neck as the serial number does not match the number on the body but it is relatively close (within a decade or less). These Zephyrs are stellar horns that lend themselves to a great jazz sound but you could use it for almost anything.

This is a minty horn that's nearly 100 years old. Don't miss out on this beauty! A more modern king case is included. The case is in very good condition.

There are some letters drawn on the end of the case. If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out!
